Acme Car Shipping provides door to door service whenever available.  We know there are many details to manage during a relocation and we want to make the vehicle relocation experience as convenient as possible.

It is important to note that some factors will restrict car carriers from accessing certain areas.  Car carriers are larger than household goods trucks and need more room to maneuver.  They cannot turn around in a typical cul-de-sac, they are too wide for narrow streets and roads and are sometimes restricted from entering certain areas by local ordinances and regulations.  

Downtown areas, narrow or crowded streets, streets lined with parked cars, streets that require turning around as opposed to a straight forward exit, streets with low bridges or overpasses, as well as parking decks do not allow enough clearance for these carriers.  Also to consider, these open carriers need to protect the vehicles they are transporting by avoiding low hanging limbs that could scratch the vehicles on the truck.

In these cases, the driver will locate the nearest large parking lot and arrange to meet at that location to safely load or unload the vehicle.  If it is not possible to meet the driver, we can offer additional services that will allow more options to deliver to your door.

Another alternative would be to utilize your accessible place of business.  If you suspect there could be difficulty accessing your location, please contact us to discuss other options or an alternate location.  As with all situations, planning ahead of schedule and keeping a proactive mindset prevents any last minute details to manage.
