Remove personal items before shipping a car

Regulations prohibit most carriers from transporting household goods or belongings.  This means any personal items left in your vehicle could be confiscated by DOT at checkpoints.  Be sure to remove all items from your vehicle and do not use your vehicle for additional storage and packing.  It is best to clean out the entire vehicle, including cargo areas and trunk space.  Securely fastened child seats and spare tire equipment are okay to keep in your vehicle.
